Fidelity Bank partners ABC to ease travel stress

Holiday makers intending to travel by road from Lagos to Abuja and the Eastern parts of Nigeria, this season can now heave a sigh of relief as Fidelity Bank works in partnership with ABC Transport to make road travel more pleasurable.

Under this arrangement, intending travelers in Lagos can walk into any of the numerous branches of Fidelity Bank in the city to make a reservation within 24 hours to their departure time. This service is said to be a key component of the Fidelity Travelonline which the bank has operated successfully with the transport company since March this year.

The partnership seeks to ease the usual difficulties encountered by large numbers of travelers who always seize the yuletide break to re-unite with their families and loved ones across the country.

Offering insight into the new partnership, General Manager, Consumer Banking, Mrs. Yvonne Isichei explained: “Yuletide season is often the most hectic period for travelers. But it is even more hectic for long distance road travelers in the country who are often at their wit’s end, contending with the challenge of getting travel tickets and reservations in quality transport companies. To such people, Fidelity offers wide doors and a friendly smile”, he explained.

According to her, Fidelity Bank had always sought for creative ways to assist all its existing and potential customers. “We figured that offering our branches to intending travelers to make reservation at this busy season is one important way of touching the people in a meaningful way. So, instead of thronging the ABC offices for bookings, travelers could easily walk into any of our nearest branches and make reservations with less hassle”, he reiterated.

She further revealed that a team of well-trained staff has been stationed in designated branches to cater to the needs of intending travelers. She emphasized the need for reservations to be made at least 24 hours ahead of departure time.

“We have designated some of our best customer service staff to handle inquiries from intending travelers. The overall idea is to make a change, to make a difference in the way road travel has been done over the years and give it a friendly, modern face. We hope that more holiday makers will take advantage of this special service to facilitate their plans for family re-union”, She further observed. She also pointed out that the service was not for Fidelity customers only but all intending travels on ABC Transport Company.
