By the time
the new Fidelity Bank
Save & Smile Promo, which
opens nationwide this week, has
run its course, no fewer than
100 Nigerians will have joined
the millionaires club.
A continuation of the
bank’s hugely successful Save &
Fly Promo which heralded the
bank’s 20th
Anniversary celebration last
year, the
Save & Smile Promo which
draws on the bank’s focus to
build a savings culture among
Nigerians, will create 100 new
millionaires.
Addressing a Press Conference to
mark the commencement of the
promo in Lagos on Tuesday, the
General Manager, Consumer
Banking, Mrs.
Yvonne Isichei
pointed out that the overriding
objective is to give Nigerians
the incentive to building a
savings culture which she
described as the one sustainable
way to create wealth for people.
According
to her, by end of the promo in
the first quarter of next year,
100 customers from all around
the country would have won N1m
each. Mrs. Isichei further
explained that the bank decided
to roll out the promo because,
“aside from the need for
freshness, we think that
customers may feel less inclined
to take a vacation at this time
and better disposed to winning
cash which they could easily
plough back into Savings in view
of the state of the global
economy ”.
In addition to 100
millionaires, Fidelity Bank’s
customers all over Nigeria also
stand a chance of winning one or
more of the 500,000 instant
gifts and 180 big ticket prizes
including TV sets, motorcycles,
refrigerators and generating
sets.
To qualify for the draw,
new customers have to open an
account with N20,000; existing
customers top up with N10,000.
Every top-up or new account
activation attracts an instant
gift on the spot.
To qualify for the N100m
jackpot, a customer ought to
have left his deposit with the
bank for 30 days only. Draws are
held every month.
In his own
comments, Pastor Dele Adedeji,
General Manager Public Sector,
said the Fidelity Save & Smile
is unique in that every one is a
winner. Every account opened
means an instant gift which you
collect there and then from the
bank – so you do not have to
hold your breath till the end of
the month to know if you were
lucky - once you top up your
account - you win”, he
explained.
He further revealed that
all of the bank’s six savings
accounts products
(Sweeta; FPSS; FSA; Easi-save;
PGA and PSA) qualify for the
promo, offering customers the
flexibility to open the account
of their choice as they please.
The promo draws
will hold in the bank’s ten
administrative regions across
the country to ensure that
customers in far flung places
have as much chance as those in
the major cities to get a direct
feel of the campaign.
